What is a YuLearn scholarship program?

Our scholarship programs help provide financial aid and tools for higher education to students who, although financially constrained, showed great promise in academics and long-term strategic thinking about the future.

Where can you see program details?

How do I subscribe to a program?

Once signed in, please choose relevant program to you and pay through our checkout. The program subscription price will be made clear to you on our sign-up pages or otherwise during the sign-up process and may vary from time to time, by region or by country. You agree to pay the fees at the rates notified to you at the time you purchase your subscription. The currency in which your subscription is payable will be specified during the order process, depending on the service and your country of residence. When you purchase a subscription, you must provide us with complete and accurate payment information. By submitting payment details you promise that you are entitled to purchase a subscription using those payment details.

How do you I take the test?

Please login in to your profile, click the test window under "My Tests" tab in your profile. The test link will be activated 15 mins before the start of the test.

What are the technical requirements of taking the test?

• The test link will be active 15 mins before the tests starts and will be deactivated 15 mins prior to the end of the test.
• Scholarship test can ONLY be taken on Desktop or Laptop device. You can not take the test on mobile device.
• The latest versions of most desktop browsers are supported.

• When the link is clicked the maximised test window will open.
• Right click option will be DISABLED on the test window.
• You can not do the following while the test is going on - if done, the test will be treated as INVALID.
  • You can not minimise the test window.
  • You can not press Alt + Tab
• You can only login from one device at any time for the test. If you do multiple login to the test, you will be signed out of the test and the test will restart.

How do we select winners?

Winners will be decided on the basis of the yu scores as explained above for a given scholarship test of a program.YuGrow shall not be liable to pay any grant if it is discovered that the Winner(s) have not abided by these Terms and Conditions, and other rules and regulations in relation to the use of the YuGrow.

How do we contact winners?

Winners shall be contacted by YuGrow or the third party conducting the Contest on the e-mail address provided at the time of registration. The verification process and the documents required for the collection of grant shall be detailed to the Winners at this stage. As a general practice, winners will be required to provide following documents:

• Photocopy of a government-issued date of birth proof;
• Photocopy of a government-issued residence proof;
• Users bank account details and proof of the same.
• In case of a minor candidate, please share the bank account details of the legal guardian.
• In case of legal guardian bank details, also attach a government issued document which proves the relationship between the candidate and the legal guardian along with esidence proof of the legal guardian.
• We could ask for additional documents for specific countries.
• You need to send all of the above details from the email ID which is used as YuGrow signin credentials.
• The disbursal request will be closed within 30 business days since the day of the request.

YuGrow shall not permit a Winner to withdraw his/her grant(s)/accumulated winnings unless the above-mentioned documents have been received and verified within the time-period stipulated by YuGrow. The User represents and warrants that the documents provided in the course of the verification process are true copies of the original documents to which they relate.

Participants are required to provide proper and complete details at the time of registration. YuGrow shall not be responsible for communications errors, commissions or omissions including those of the Participants due to which the results may not be communicated to the Winner.

The list of Winners shall be posted on a separate web-page on the YuGrow. The winners will also be intimated by e-mail.

In the event that a Participant has been declared a Winner on the abovementioned web-page but has not received any communication from YuGrow, such Participant may contact YuGrow within the time specified on the webpage.

How do you verify winners?

Only those Winners who successfully complete the verification process and provide the required documents within the time limit specified by YuGrow shall be permitted to withdraw/receive their accumulated winnings (or any part thereof). YuGrow shall not entertain any claims or requests for extension of time for submission of documents.

YuGrow shall scrutinize all documents submitted and may, at its sole and absolute discretion, disqualify any Winner from withdrawing his accumulated winnings (or any part thereof) on the following matchs:

• Determination by YuGrow that any document or information submitted by the Participant is incorrect, misleading, false, fabricated, incomplete or illegible; or
• Participant does not fulfill the Eligibility Criteria specified for a given program; or
• Any other match.

What is the grant payment schedule?

The overall scholarship grant will be paid at the start of every academic year of the course it is meant for. For example, if you have won a scholarship for Under Gradute course which is a 4 year course, the scholarship grant will be paid in 4 equal amount at the start of each academic year.

Do you have to pay any taxes on the grant?

Please be informed that the winner of our scholarship grants will receive the full amount but applied fees and tax varies from every countries when transferring money. Please ensure you are aware of tax implications in your country before subscribing.

For winners from India, all cash grants shall be subject to deduction of tax (“TDS”) as per the Income Tax Act 1961. The TDS rate prescribed by the Government of India with respect to any grant money amount that is in excess of Rs. 10,000/- is 30% . TDS of 30% shall be deducted on Net Winnings ( grant money amount - program subscription amount). In case of any revisions by the Government of India to the aforementioned rate in the future, TDS will be deducted by YuGrow in accordance with the then current prescribed TDS rate. Winners will be provided TDS certificates in respect of such tax deductions. The Winners shall be responsible for payment of any other applicable taxes, including but not limited to, income tax, gift tax, etc. in respect of the grant money.

Other items

The decision of YuGrow with respect to the awarding of grants shall be final, binding and non-contestable.

To the extent permitted by law, YuGrow makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any grants and shall not be liable in respect of the same.

What is a YuWork program?

Our programs help provide provide FREE technological training with GUARANTEED placement to students who show great promise in academics and long-term strategic thinking about the future.

Are mentors and instructors different?

Yes. A mentor is the guide who is responsible to clear all the syllabus-related doubts, whereas an instructor is someone who will teach you during the live classes.

Where is YuWork located?

We are an online learning platform based in Bangalore, India.

Do I need to be an Indian citizen to be a part of your program?

Yes. But, we would suggest you to stay tuned as we are scaling fast our services to other countries as well.

What certificate will I be given upon course completion?

Post completion of the course, you will be provided with an Industry recognised developer certificate.

Do you teach other courses besides Full - Stack development?

As of now, we have Full-Stack Development and Advanced professional courses. However, we are planning to launch other programs soon.

Which companies hire from YuWork?

We will refer you to most of the top companies based on your performance. We have mentors from Google, Microsoft, Uber, etc. who will help you to crack placements of top-notch companies.

Do I have to take the first job I’m offered?

It is not compulsory to opt for the first job that you're offered. We will refer you for the positions based on your performance and interest. You can decide to sit for many different interviews before taking up a job.

What should the candidate know before starting out at YuWork?

The student should possess some basic knowledge of computer along with good communication skills in order to crack the screening test for our courses.

What computer specs do I need?

You need to have a Computer/PC with minimum specifications of 4GB RAM, 120 GB disk and a webcam with microphone and speaker.

How much does YuWork Program cost?

YuWork does not collect any tution fees, pre or post placement. Instead you need to pay only a small registration fee to take the entrance test.

I applied for a course but haven’t heard back yet. When should I expect a response?

Post filling the application form, you will receive an e-mail from our end. In case you haven't received it in your inbox, check your spam folder or mail us at support@yugrow.org to clear your confusions.

Do I need to have a background in Computer Science? Does my CGPA/ branch play a role?

It is NOT mandatory to be a Computer Science background student. But you need to have the basic knowledge to pass our entry test.

Can I do this program along with my college/job?

Yes, the program is specially designed for the graduates, final year students (Bachelor's), and people who are already working.

What is the eligibility criteria for getting enrolled in your platform? How does it work?

First of all, you need to be a graduate or a final year student (be it any stream). Post filling the application form, you have to clear our eligibility test following which you will receive a call from our end for the further procedure.

What do I need to do after completing my course?

You need to complete the course with the minimum passing marks. After that an industry level certificate will be provided from our end which will help you in getting placed during the placement sessions.

What is the minimum salary i will get placed at?

We guarantee a minimum CTC of ₹ 3 Lakhs per annum. The course is free in case you dont land a job after course completion(for pay after placement option).

What if I am fired/ I resign from my new job after the course?

If you are out of a job within 90 days of completing our course, we will work with you towards landing a new job offer.

What if I dont get placed after 4 months of the completion of the course?

Our target is to get you placed with the min. guaranteed CTC. However, in the rarest case if you do not land up a job with the same CTC, we will be paying you a monthly stipend of INR 25000 for 8 months (in total of INR 2 lacs) or until you land a job, whichever comes first.

What if I decide not to continue the course?

Students are free to drop out during or before our free 1 week precourse. After clearing the precourse interview process, we will be signing an agreement with all our students.

What if I am already a working professional at 'x' salary?

Don't worry. After the pre-course, we will have a personal 1 on 1 discussion with all our students and come to a mutually agreeable minimum salary package for the course.

What are the different types of pre-employment assessment tests?

How do I prepare for a pre-employment test?

To prepare for a pre-employment test, click on the test link received via email. Keep your identity card ready. For authentication, the system will prompt you to take a picture that would be verified against your ID card. Once the invigilator approves your registration, click on the test link and follow the instructions to take the test.
